How are you Younès?

I'm well, thank you. I'm playing and enjoying myself at the moment, so everything is fine.

Is this week one of those you have always dreamt of?

Well, yes. I have just been called on to join the French national team and we won against Arsenal on their homefield! Yes, it has been a brilliant week.

How did your first French selection go?

Well. Pretty well. I already knew most of the players so it was great to all be together under the French colours. I was in all the French junior selections with Gourcuff, Sagna, Diaby and others who have been in League A for some time now. And at present, we are all together.
I was delighted to see that French coach kept an eye on me and that he might be counting on me for the future. I would have loved to have played, especially at Wembley, but I know it's already great to be in this group which really wants to win and is tightly knit.
So everything is going well for you, the Champions League, the French national team selection, any chance of becoming a full-member of the team? Thank God, everything is going pretty well. However, we also have a lot of injured players and in football, things can change very quickly in a good or a bad way. That is why I work very hard and try to give my best on the pitch.
After Sol Campbell and Ledley King, you now have Gallas on your side, how are things going? Iʼm lucky to have played with experienced defenders with real technical skills. Playing with Gallas helps me improve. He has such an impressive vision of the game. This helps me learn more and perform better.

Your first goal with the Spurs since your comeback ?

Yes, I do relish it! More seriously, I am really happy to have delivered the victory to the supporters. The Spurs hadn't won against Arsenal for 17 years and all the fans were delighted. And you know, this is one the reasons why I play football and I can tell you that when I see such happy people, this makes me want to give them even more!!
